Onsite sewage disposal system program evaluation files, 1980-[ongoing].

The division is obligated to review and evaluate onsite sewage disposal systems at the county level for administrative completeness and efficiency. Each evaluation (audit) generally includes a review of files, interviews with local public health personnel, onsite inspections, and recommendations. This series contains evaluation worksheets used by the division staff as guidelines when conducting the evaluation. Information and/or questions available on the worksheet include number of county public health employees involved with the onsite sewage disposal system, time spent per week on the program, whether they have adequate administrative resources and support, and lists of laws, rules, regulations, policies, or procedures adopted by local boards of health, city or county governing bodies that assist in the implementation or enforcement of the program. A checklist is also attached to assist in the evaluation by providing areas to record deficiencies and percentage of deficiencies. Correspondence, memoranda, and finding reports may also be found in these files.
